Police called out to the boy selling “Ice Cold Beer,” and when they looked more closely at the sign, they laughed out loud.
Most kids choose lemonade stands during the hot summer months, but a smart boy from Utah set up a “ICE COLD BEER” stand instead. Do not worry, it is not what you think. A young businessman named Seth Parker set up his booth in front of a church in Brigham City, Utah. This made people in the area both amazed and amused.
On the other hand, worried neighbors couldn’t help but call the police about the business that seemed sketchy. Several people called to say that a young boy was selling “beer” on the street, so police went to look into it.
But when the police got there, they saw that there was no reason to worry. While the sign said “ICE COLD BEER,” the important word “root” was hidden in small letters just above “BEER.” It was all about the root beer!
“Yep, he’s selling beer… ROOT BEER, that is,” the Brigham City Police Department wrote on Facebook about their exciting find. People in the community were really interested in the boy’s marketing plan.
Seth’s “ICE COLD BEER” business has been doing great since his funny stand went viral. His mom, Alexis Parker, says that he sold out very quickly on Tuesday but is excited to come back.
A lot of people noticed how funny his branding was, and some even shared their funny experiences online. Deedre Coy Petersen, a Facebook user, made fun of how she bought him out and praised Seth’s sense of humor, suggesting that he might make the word “Root” stand out more next time. While adults looked at her with confusion, she reassured everyone that no kids were hurt while she sold this fun “ROOT beer.”
