It was supposed to be just a fun little date night—a retro-themed dance party, some cheesy ‘80s music, and an excuse to dress up. I wore a white dress, my husband, Mark, went with blue pants and a crisp white shirt. We looked good, if I do say so myself.
The DJ started playing Cherry Cherry Lady, and we were in our element, vibing, twirling, singing along like we were in some old-school music video.
And then—I saw them.
A couple, right across the dance floor. Dressed exactly like us. The woman in all white. The man in blue pants and a white shirt. But that wasn’t even the weird part.
They looked like us. Same height difference. Same hair color. Same way the guy rested his hand on the small of her back while they danced.
I nudged Mark. “Uh… do you see them?”
He turned, froze for a second, ….
