Tan Mom’s Viral Rise and Life Today
Patricia Krentcil, known as “Tan Mom,” went viral in 2012 after being charged with child endangerment for allegedly bringing her 6-year-old daughter into a tanning booth. Though she was never convicted, the incident sparked discussions about “tanorexia”—an obsession with tanning.
Starting at 23, Krentcil tanned five days a week, which significantly altered her appearance. Following the controversy, she faced media scrutiny, legal battles, and personal struggles, including health issues and a near-death experience in 2019.
Now living in Florida, she has embraced her fame, still tans twice a week, and continues to share her story.
