Before you see Meg Foster, 76, today, have a seat. She was a movie star whose breathtakingly blue eyes would make anyone go crazy

It is an unchangeable fact of life (for the time being, at least; who knows what the future holds in terms of science and technology) that we are all destined to grow old and grey. It makes no difference how wealthy we are, how closely we follow our fitness or food regimen, how much sleep we receive, or what we do for a living.

Even if we may age differently, we’re all ultimately going in the same way. Since it’s fundamental biology, there isn’t much we can do about it.

For this reason, it’s funny in a way that we might still be taken aback when we witness Father Time’s hand at work. Maybe you haven’t seen someone in years, and you’re surprised at how old they are? Or you recognise an old movie star from your youth, but their youthful energy has vanished and their hair has turned white.

The ageing process of celebrities is actually quite fascinating. Like any person, their look changes with age; nevertheless, their journey to old age is chronicled for public consumption. They create a trail that is practically easy to follow with a finger, whether it is from movie to movie or from red carpet to red carpet.

Now for the not-so-subtle segway for today: who recalls Meg Foster? You do, of course! How could you not be drawn to her with her piercing look, raw beauty, and fascinating icy blue eyes? After starring in Adam at 6am (1970) with Michael Douglas, the American actress went on to star in a number of television shows and films, including The Six Million Dollar Man, Bonanza, The Twilight Zone, and Murder, She Wrote.

Over the past 20 years, Foster’s profile has gradually faded from the spotlight after once being a rising star and in-demand actor. She hardly resembles the lady Mademoiselle magazine described as having “the eyes of 1979” these days. Given that she is now 76 years old, that shouldn’t come as a surprise, but it seems that some people online are unable to realise how much she has changed.

To be quite honest, some of the remarks are almost vicious, while others just serve to confirm the notion that the actress doesn’t look anything like her. Having said that, we believe she should be congratulated for choosing to age naturally rather than get plastic surgery, which is becoming increasingly popular in the movie and television industries.

Regardless, Foster is still active in the film and television industries and is said to be a solo horse breeder of a wide variety of breeds.
