The night started normally, but when my son cried, my wife didn’t respond. “I tried three times,” she said flatly. When I saw him covered in paint, I realized this wasn’t just about the mess—it was about her growing indifference.

Frustrated, I packed a bag for our son and me, and went to my sister’s. There, I called my mother-in-law. “Something’s wrong with your daughter,” I said. “She’s distant, like she doesn’t care anymore.”
